Treatment of movement disorders with trihexyphenidyl

AbstractThe clinical efficacy of the trihexyphenidyl was investigated in 100 patients with movement disorders. The study group consisted of 54 women and 46 men. Their ages ranged from 18 to 70 years, and their duration of illness varied from a few months to 36 years.

Trihexyphenidyl (THP) is an anticholinergic agent with forensic toxicological interest. We present a case of a 59-year-old woman with a history of paranoid disorder, who was found dead in the house where she lived alone. The autopsy findings revealed no marked pathological changes.

Impurities in Drugs III: Trihexyphenidyl
