Triiodothyronine Acts as a Smart Influencer on Hsp90 via a Triiodothyronine Binding Site

open access: yes, 2022
Microarray-based experiments revealed that thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3) enhanced the binding of Cy5-labeled ATP on heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90).

Proteomics‐Based Identification of the Pyroptosis‐Related Biomarker PCSK9 and Its Association With the Pathogenesis of Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common autoimmune disease, and early diagnosis is critical for effective treatment. This study aims to identify potential biomarkers related to pyroptosis through serum proteomics analysis, offering new insights for the early diagnosis of RA.

Eosinophil/Monocyte Ratio Combined With Serum Thyroid Hormone for Distinguishing Graves' Disease and Subacute Thyroiditis

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2020
Background: Thyrotoxicosis is commonly classified into several entities according to different etiologies. Identifying the causes of thyroid dysfunction is critical for the subsequent selection of treatment.

Correlations Among Glycemia and Glucose Variability, Thyroid Hormones, and Albuminuria in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hyperglycemia, glucose fluctuations, and thyroid dysfunction contribute to the progression of diabetic nephropathy. This study aimed to investigate the associations of glycemia, glucose variability, and thyroid hormones with albuminuria in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). In total, 451 T2DM patients were included.

Effect of replacement of fish meal by corn gluten meal on growth and thyroid hormone contents in serum of Carassius auratus gibelio

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2012
An experiment was conducted to evaluate the use of corn gluten meal (CGM) as a dietary protein for Carassius auratus gibelio. Four kinds of isocaloric, isonitrogenous diets were formulated to contain 0% (control), 4%, 8% and 12% of corn gluten meal (CGM),

The Lipid Droplet–Associated Hydrolase Is Associated With Obesity and Adipose Tissue Inflammation in Children

open access: yesObesity, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The lipid droplet–associated hydrolase (LDAH) is a lipid droplet–associated protein with an uncharacterized role in human adipose tissue (AT) and obesity; we aimed to investigate its role in human AT and its relevance for childhood obesity.

Retrospective Cross-Sectional Study of the Relationship of Thyroid Volume and Function with Anthropometric Measurements, Body Composition Analysis Parameters, and the Diagnosis of Metabolic Syndrome in Euthyroid People Aged 18–65

open access: yesMedicina
Background and Objectives: The thyroid is a key endocrine gland for the regulation of metabolic processes. A body composition analysis (BCA) is a valuable complement to the assessment of body mass index, which is derived only from body weight and height.

Evidence map and gap analysis of metabolic change in pediatric growth hormone deficiency treated with growth hormone

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
This evidence map of 63 studies (n = 6158) showed growth hormone therapy in children with growth hormone deficiency has neutral glucose effects, mixed lipid outcomes, potential benefits for bone mineral density, bone mineral content, and parathyroid hormone, but generally no impact on thyroid function, body composition, or body mass index.

Several relative biological activities of d(–) and l(+) triiodothyronine

open access: yes, 1961
d(–) 3,5,3'-Triiodothyronine administered subcutaneously to intact male rats for 10 days was found to be 0.25 as calorigenic as l(+) 3,5,3'-triiodothyronine.
