Trilateral retinoblastoma

Pediatric Blood & Cancer, 2007
AbstractBackgroundTrilateral retinoblastoma (TRB) is a syndrome consisting of unilateral or bilateral hereditary retinoblastoma (Rb) associated with an intracranial neuroblastic tumor. Although its incidence is low, the prognosis is very poor. This article reports four cases of TRB and discusses the role of neuroimaging screening for early detection ...

A Novel Robust Trilateration Method Applied to Ultra-Wide Bandwidth Location Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Due to the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) and multipath fading channel (MPF) of the wireless networks, the non-existence of the intersection point often occurs in the range-based localization methods, e.g., the centroid-based trilateration method. To alleviate

Indoor Robot Positioning Using an Enhanced Trilateration Algorithm

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2016
This paper presents algorithms implemented for positioning a wheeled robot on a production floor inside a factory by means of radio-frequency distance measurement and trilateration techniques.

Despeckling trilateral filter

2011 IEEE 10th IVMSP Workshop: Perception and Visual Signal Analysis, 2011
The bilateral filter smoothes noisy signals while preserving the semantic signal features. Its main advantage is being non-iterative. It is effective for a variety of applications in computer vision and computer graphics. However, little is known about the usefulness of bilateral filtering for speckle images.

Fast Trilateral Filtering

2009
This paper compares the original implementation of the trilateral filter with two proposed speed improvements. One is using simple look-up-tables, and leads to exactly the same results as the original filter. The other technique is using a novel way of truncating the look-up-table (LUT) to a user specified required accuracy.

Triangulation and Trilateration

1985
In the previous chapter, the method of establishing horizontal control by traversing is described. However, horizontal control can also be established by such methods as triangulation, trilateration, intersection and resection. Triangulation and trilateration are described in this chapter and intersection and resection in chapter 7.

Incircles of trilaterals

Beiträge zur Algebra und Geometrie / Contributions to Algebra and Geometry, 2013
A Jordan domain \(G\) is just a simply connected open subset of the complex plane such that \(\partial G\) is homeomorphic to a circle. If we choose three points on \(\partial G\), \(V_1\), \(V_2\) and \(V_3\) (ordered counter-clockwise) and if we denote by \(\alpha\), \(\beta\) and \(\gamma\) the closures of the three arcs such defined by these points,

Trilateral retinoblastoma.

Metabolic, pediatric, and systemic ophthalmology (New York, N.Y. : 1985), 1993
Retinoblastoma is the most common intraocular malignancy of childhood. Trilateral retinoblastoma is a syndrome characterized by bilateral ocular retinoblastoma in conjunction with an intracranial neuroblastic neoplasm in the pineal body, or in supraseller or parasellar location. We report the case of a three year old girl with trilateral retinoblastoma

Trilateral Retinoblastoma

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1984
Two children had bilateral retinoblastoma and a morphologically similar intracranial neoplasm localized to the region of the pineal gland as shown on computed tomography and at postmortem examination. The first child's intracranial malignant neoplasm produced symptoms that indicated its probable presence when the ocular tumors were first diagnosed ...

The Trilateral Era

Worldview, 1980
For the past four years right-wing and left-wing organizations in the United States have been aware of a new foreign policy establishment known as the Trilateral Commission. This group, founded by David Rockefeller, is comprised largely of corporate executives from Western Europe, Japan, and the U.S.
