Emerging Role of TRIM Family Proteins in Cardiovascular Disease

The Cardiology, 2020
Ubiquitination is one of the basic mechanisms of cell protein homeostasis and degradation and is accomplished by 3 enzymes, E1, E2, and E3. Tripartite motif-containing proteins (TRIMs) constitute the largest subfamily of RING E3 ligases, with >70 current

Cattle hoof trimming

Veterinary Record, 2013
WE read with interest the Editorial by Blowey and Inman (2012) and agree wholeheartedly with their call for hoof trimming protocols to be reconsidered. Cutting the toe at the ‘correct’ length provides a crucial marker for sole thickness and the requirement (or not) for removal of the solar horn in the widely used ‘Dutch’ method.

The interplay between viruses and TRIM family proteins

Reviews in Medical Virology, 2019
Novel therapeutic options are urgently needed to improve the global treatment of viral infections. Tripartite motif (TRIM) family proteins are involved in various biological and cellular functions including differentiation, development, proliferation ...

Trimmed radiosurgical fields

Medical Dosimetry, 1999
Radiosurgery aims to deliver a high radiation dose to a small target volume while sparing surrounding healthy tissues. However, since the target volume is often large and irregularly-shaped, a significant amount of healthy tissue is irradiated. To improve conformity of the dose volume to the target volume, we propose to optimize the field shape by ...
