Switching perception of musical meters by listening to different acoustic cues of biphasic sound stimulus.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
Meter is one of the core features of music perception. It is the cognitive grouping of regular sound sequences, typically for every 2, 3, or 4 beats. Previous studies have suggested that one can not only passively perceive the meter from acoustic cues ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Current situation of tomato yellow leaf curl disease (TYLCD) in Antalya, Turkey

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2015
We studied the distribution of virus/viruses causing tomato yellow leaf curl disease (TYLCD) in Antalya and to characterise the partial genome sequences of the selected isolates.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

To unwind the biological knots: The DNA/RNA G‐quadruplex resolvase RHAU (DHX36) in development and disease

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, 2022
The G‐quadruplex (G4) sequences are short fragments of 4‐interval triple guanine (G) with frequent and ubiquitous distribution in the genome and RNA transcripts.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Diophantine triples in a Lucas-Lehmer sequence [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Mathematicae et Informaticae, 2018
Summary: In this paper, we define a Lucas-Lehmer type sequence denoted by $(L_n)_{n=0}^{\infty}$, and show that there are no integers $0 < a < b < c$ such that $ab + 1, ac + 1$, and $bc + 1$ all are terms of the sequence.

Regarding the Ideal Convergence of Triple Sequences in Random 2-Normed Spaces

open access: yes, 2023
In our ongoing study, we explore the concepts of I3-Cauchy and I3-Cauchy for triple sequences in the context of random 2-normed spaces (RTNS). Moreover, we introduce and analyze the notions of I3-convergence, I3-convergence, I3-limit points, and I3 ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Tauberian theorems for (N̄, p, q, w) summable triple sequences of fuzzy numbers

open access: yesCQD Revista Eletrônica Paulista de Matemática
In this paper, we introduce the notion of weighted mean method (N̄, p, q, w) of triple sequences of fuzzy numbers and and show necessary and sufficient Tauberian conditions under which convergence in Pringsheim's sense of a triple sequence of fuzzy ...
