On the Turán Number of Triple Systems
The Turán density of some family of \(r\)-uniform hypergraphs is determined. More concretely, the authors focus on 3-uniform hypergraphs with nondegenerate Turán numbers, i.e., those whose Turán number is not \(o(n^3)\).

The 3-way flower intersection problem for Steiner triple systems [PDF]
The flower at a point x in a Steiner triple system (X; B) is the set of all triples containing x. Denote by J3F(r) the set of all integers k such that there exists a collection of three STS(2r+1) mutually intersecting in the same set of k + r triples, r ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

AbstractA t-design (λ, t, d, n) is a system B of sets of size d from an n-set S, such that each t subset of S is contained in exactly λ elements of B. A t-design is indecomposable (written IND(λ, t, d, n)) if there does not exist a subset B ⊆ B such that B is a (λ, t, d, n) for some λ, 1 ⩽ λ < λ. A triple system is a (λ; 2, 3, n).

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Classifying two-dimensional hyporeductive triple algebra
Two-dimensional real hyporeductive triple algebras (h.t.a.) are investigated. A classification of such algebras is presented. As a consequence, a classification of two-dimensional real Lie triple algebras (i.e., generalized Lie triple systems) and two ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
