Discrepancy in menstrual and ultrasound‐based gestational age is associated with chromosomal aberrations and adverse pregnancy outcomes—Results from a nationwide cohort study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 4, Page 693-702, April 2026.
A smaller than expected crown–rump length (CRL) relative to last menstrual period was strongly associated with increased risk of chromosomal abnormalities, adverse pregnancy outcomes, and obstetric complications. Conversely, a larger than expected CRL was associated with a reduced risk of these outcomes.

The assessment of the effects of genomic heterozygosity and sterility on the performance of triploid brook trout Salvelinus fontinalis

open access: yesFrontiers in Animal Science
This study analyses diploid and hydrostatic-pressure-induced triploid brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) sampled from a fish farm before (360 days post-hatch, d.p.h.) and during the normal time of sexual maturation for pan-sized market fish (555 and 667

Gene expression of Lysozyme C and Lysozyme G in diploid and triploid Astyanax lacustris experimentally infected with Aeromonas jandaei

open access: yesAquaculture Reports, 2023
Triploid fish are becoming increasingly popular in commercial aquaculture due to their sterility, which results in improved meat quality and better growth rates as a result of the lack of sexual maturation.

Ultrasound features in early pregnancy for predicting abnormal karyotype in first‐trimester miscarriage

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 67, Issue 3, Page 376-384, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate whether combining abnormal morphological features observed on ultrasound in live pregnancies that ended in a first‐trimester miscarriage can predict an abnormal karyotype. Methods This retrospective observational cohort study was conducted at the early‐pregnancy assessment unit at University College London Hospital ...
