Neural Trojans

open access: yes, 2017
While neural networks demonstrate stronger capabilities in pattern recognition nowadays, they are also becoming larger and deeper. As a result, the effort needed to train a network also increases dramatically. In many cases, it is more practical to use a

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Tumor‐Derived Exosomes Deliver Membrane‐Bound Fgl2 to Activate FcγRIIB‐Mediated Immunosuppression in Myeloid‐Derived Suppressor Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the Fgl2‐FcγRIIB signaling axis is a key mechanism by which MDSCs mediate tumor immune evasion. Tumor‐derived exosomes systemically activate MDSCs via this pathway, positioning this axis as a promising broad‐spectrum target for cancer immunotherapy.

A Survey on the Design, Detection, and Prevention of Pre-Silicon Hardware Trojans

open access: yesIEEE Access
The complexity of the semiconductor design lifecycle and globalized manufacturing process creates concern over the threat of deliberate malicious alterations, or hardware Trojans, being inserted into microelectronic designs.

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Hybrid multi‐level hardware Trojan detection platform for gate‐level netlists based on XGBoost

open access: yesIET Computers & Digital Techniques, 2022
Coping with the problem of malicious third‐party vendors implanting Hardware Trojan (HT) in the circuit design stage, this paper proposes a hybrid‐mode gate‐level hardware Trojan detection platform based on the XGBoost algorithm.

Trojan playground: a reinforcement learning framework for hardware Trojan insertion and detection

open access: yesThe Journal of Supercomputing
Current Hardware Trojan (HT) detection techniques are mostly developed based on a limited set of HT benchmarks. Existing HT benchmark circuits are generated with multiple shortcomings, i.e., i) they are heavily biased by the designers' mindset when created, and ii) they are created through a one-dimensional lens, mainly the signal activity of nets.

Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are
