Biogenic Synthesis of Silver and Iron Nanoparticles Derived From Grewia Optiva Leaf Extract: A Novel Approach for Antidiabetic, Anticoagulant and Anti‐Inflammatory Therapies

open access: yesInternational Journal of Chemical Kinetics, Volume 58, Issue 4, Page 159-174, April 2026.
ABSTRACT This study presents the green synthesis of silver (Ag‐NPs) and iron nanoparticles (Fe‐NPs) using aqueous leaf extract of Grewia optiva as a natural reducing and stabilizing agent. The extract was prepared using a Kjeldahl apparatus under controlled heating. Nanoparticle synthesis was optimized by varying pH, temperature, and salt concentration,

Ploidy Barrier inTropaeolum MajusL.

open access: yesCaryologia, 1974
SUMMARYArtificially raised tetraploids in Tropaeolum majus enhanced its ornamental value. Octoploids, though had smaller flowers but umbrella shaped appearance of leaves make them quite charming. Ploidy barrier exists in the species. Tetra and octoploids were perfectly seed sterile despite good pollen fertility in tetraploids.

Environment and Pollen Diversity Differentially Affect the Gut Microbiomes of Introduced Honeybees and Bumblebees

open access: yesEvolutionary Applications, Volume 19, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Invasive species may exhibit shifts in their gut microbiome in response to novel environments and diet, but this may differ across host species and their time since colonisation. We investigate if site environmental variables and foraged pollen resources differentially shape the gut microbiomes of two bee species with contrasting introduction ...

Expression of a Bacterial Trehalose 6‐Phosphate Synthase Gene otsA in Camelina sativa Seeds Promotes the Channelling of Carbon Towards Oil Accumulation

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 4, Page 2510-2521, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Improving seed oil yield is essential for developing Camelina sativa as a sustainable biofuel crop. Fatty acid synthesis depends on the production of acetyl‐CoA from photosynthetically derived sugars. Trehalose 6‐phosphate (T6P), a proxy for sucrose availability, can link sugar status to plant growth and development. Synthesised by trehalose 6‐

Application of phytohormones as attenuators of salt stress in Tropaeolum majus L. (Tropaeolaceae)

open access: yesActa Botanica Croatica, 2022
The salinity of the soil and irrigation water is one of the great challenges of agriculture. Salinity can have harmful effects on physiological processes and plant growth, including Tropaeolum majus L. (Tropaeolaceae). The application of phytohormones can be a strategy to mitigate these effects.

Plantbiological-biochemical basis for the pharmaceutical utilization of nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus L.) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
