A hierarchically selective immunotherapeutic nanoplatform, mGls@HEV‐MTP, selectively restores macrophage immunocompetence through GLS1‐mediated restoration of glutaminolysis‐fueled anaplerosis. Concurrently, it renders Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) more readily recognizable to the metabolically reprogrammed macrophages, thereby facilitating ...

Engineered Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 with a tannic acid‐mediated BPA coating enables tumor‐targeted boron delivery for BNCT. The low‐level incidental radiation generated during BNCT activate a RecA‐driven circuit to induce CXCL10, while radiation‐enhanced bacterial colonization triggers in situ vaccination and systemic antitumor immunity.

Differences in Growth Properties among Two Human Cytomegalovirus Glycoprotein O Genotypes
Glycoprotein O (gO) of the human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is the critical subunit of the envelope trimer gH/gL/gO as it interacts with platelet-derived growth factor alpha receptor upon fibroblast entry, and triggers gB-mediated fusion for fibroblast and ...

HIV coreceptor tropism among patients with newly diagnosed infection [PDF]
Introduction: Coreceptor tropism is the ability of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to use CCR5 or CXCR4 coreceptor to enter the host cell. Tropism depends on the structure of the surface glycoprotein, involved in binding molecules to receptor and ...

Leveraging Microphysiological Systems to Facilitate Neutrophil‐Based Cancer Immunotherapy
Microphysiological systems are emerging as powerful human‐relevant platforms for studying neutrophil biology in cancer. Current applications of spheroids, organoids, and organ‐on‐a‐chip models are reviewed, together with future opportunities in behaviorome profiling, multi‐omics integration, personalized medicine, immune crosstalk, and multi‐organ ...

Adeno‐associated virus serotype 2 capsid variants for improved liver‐directed gene therapy
Abstract Background and Aims Current liver‐directed gene therapies look for adeno‐associated virus (AAV) vectors with improved efficacy. With this background, capsid engineering is explored. Whereas shuffled capsid library screenings have resulted in potent liver targeting variants with one first vector in human clinical trials, modifying natural ...
