Esterified Cholesterol Conjugates Enable LNP‐Mediated mRNA Delivery to the Blood–Brain Barrier Following Intravenous Administration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A cholesterol‐conjugated lipid library enabled the identification of a ligand‐free LNP platform for efficient mRNA delivery to brain endothelial cells via systemic administration. This platform achieves selective BBB targeting without disrupting barrier integrity, and enables modulation of neuroinflammation and vascular function without requiring trans‐

Loss of mucin 2 and MHC II molecules causes rare resistance to murine RV infection

open access: yesJournal of Virology
Enteric pathogen rotavirus (RV) primarily infects mature enterocytes at the tips of the intestinal villi; however, the role of secretory Paneth and goblet cells in RV pathogenesis remains unappreciated.

Charge‐Reversed Lipid Nanoparticles Enable Encapsulation of Pt2L4 Nanocages for In vivo Anti‐Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Charge‐reversed lipid nanoparticles (revLNPs) enable efficient encapsulation and delivery of cationic Pt2L4 nanocages. Encapsulation preserves potent anticancer activity while improving circulation, reducing vascular leakage, and promoting favorable biodistribution in vivo.

The GP2a 91/97/98 amino acid substitutions play critical roles in determining PRRSV tropism and infectivity but do not affect immune responses

open access: yesJournal of Virology
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) isolates share a restricted cellular tropism. Marc-145 cells derived from African green monkey are one of the few cell lines supporting PRRSV propagation in vitro and are commonly used for PRRS ...

Effects of sequence alterations on results from genotypic tropism testing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Backgroundgeno2pheno[coreceptor] is a bioinformatic method for genotypic tropism determination (GTD) which has been extensively validated.ObjectivesGTD can be affected by sequencing/base-calling variability and unreliable representation of minority ...

Cell‐Based Biohybrid Micro/Nanorobots for Biotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review systematically evaluates cell‐based biohybrid micro/nanorobots (CB‐BMRs), highlighting their cell selection criteria, fabrication strategies, and diverse actuation modes. Furthermore, it surveys the promising therapeutic applications of CB‐BMRs in targeted cancer, thrombosis, and inflammation treatments, while comprehensively discussing ...

Magnetically Actuated Microrobot for Drug Delivery: Current Progress and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Magnetically actuated microrobots are reshaping targeted drug delivery through wireless propulsion, programmable materials, and localized therapeutic release. This review examines how fabrication, body material selection, structural architecture, loading mechanisms, and imaging‐guided control converge to enable microrobotic therapies while identifying ...

Porcine peritoneal macrophages are susceptible to porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Previous studies have suggested that porcine peritoneal macrophages (PPMs) are resistant to PRRSV infection, whereas porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs) are highly susceptible.
