Beef muscle troponin: evidence for multiple forms of troponin-t

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure, 1976
A method is described for the purification of troponin from beef skeletal muscle. The resultant preparation differs from the troponin of rabbit skeletal muscle in that it contains at least two forms of the tropomyosin-binding component, Troponin-T: these are designated as the 37 000 and 40 000 dalton forms of Troponin-T on the basis of sodium dodecyl ...

Structure of tropomyosin-troponin T cocrystals

Journal of Muscle Research and Cell Motility, 1988
Crystals formed from a mixture of tropomyosin and troponin T have an open double-stranded lattice structure with a diamond-shaped repeat. In some regions the appearance in electron micrographs of negatively stained specimens changes from this double-diamond lattice to a more condensed banded crystal form.

Cardiac troponin-T in acute pericarditis

Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine, 2014
The long-term outcome of acute pericarditis with high cardiac troponin-T (cTnT) is unknown. Our purpose was to investigate the prognostic and clinical value of cTnT in myopericardial inflammatory syndromes.Between January 2001 and September 2011, 107 patients hospitalized for acute pericarditis or myopericarditis were enrolled.

Troponin T in Acute Ischemic Stroke

The American Journal of Cardiology, 2013
Multiple interactions are considered to occur among the various forms of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The aim of this study was to assess the serum level profile of cardiac troponin T (cTnT) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) to evaluate factors associated with increased serum levels of cTnT. Patients with AIS enrolled in this

[Distribution of tryptophan groups in molecules of troponin T, troponin I-troponin T complex, and alpha-actinin].

Biofizika, 2001
The method of fluorescence quenching was used to experimentally determine the distribution of tryptophan residues in molecules of troponin T, troponin T-troponin I complexes, and alpha-actinin. Iodide and cesium ions, and acrylamide were used as quenchers.

Troponin T: genetics, properties and function

Journal of Muscle Research & Cell Motility, 1998
Troponin T (TnT) is present in striated muscle of vertebrates and invertebrates as a group of homologous proteins with molecular weights usually in the 31-36 kDa range. It occupies a unique role in the regulatory protein system in that it interacts with TnC and TnI of the troponin complex and the proteins of the myofibrillar thin filament, tropomyosin ...
