Determining impact angle from the spatial distribution of shock metamorphism: A case study of the Gosses Bluff (Tnorala) impact structure, Australia

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract The majority of planetary impacts occur at oblique angles. Impact structures on Earth are commonly eroded or buried, rendering the identification of the direction and angle of impact—using methods such as asymmetries in ejecta distribution, surface topographic expression, central uplift structure, and geophysical anomalies—challenging. In this

The impact of cattle grazing on cursorial spiders (Aranei) and true bugs (Heteroptera) in steppe gullies of northeastern Ukraine

Agriculture, Ecosystems and Environment, 2016
Cattle grazing is a traditional agricultural activity and one of the obligatory factors for maintaining steppe ecosystems. The impact of grazing depends on its intensity, site area, soil, topography, and microclimatic conditions. Both intensive grazing and long-term cessation differently affect various components of the steppe biota.
