Trends in Structural and Spectroscopic Signatures of Iron(II) Complexes Supported by Systematically Varied Tetra‐N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Macrocycles

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The effects of ligand ring size and peripheral substitution on geometric and electronic structures as well as electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of a family of iron(II) complexes with macrocyclic tetracarbene ligands, often called organometallic heme analogues, have been analyzed, to provide structure/property correlations as a basis for ...

Revolutionizing Healthcare With Paper‐Based Nucleic Acid Testing

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
This work summarizes strategies to enhance paper‐based devices for nucleic acid testing. Key approaches include optimizing paper platforms, improving nucleic acid amplification, and refining labeling/signaling methods. These advancements aim to boost sensitivity, speed, and usability, making paper‐based diagnostics more effective for point‐of‐care ...

Ectopic tubal pregnancy after hysterectomy and tubal ligation

Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, 2008
Posthysterectomy ectopic pregnancy is an unusual condition that may present soon after hysterectomy or several years later. Similarly, although tubal ligation is a widespread method of contraception, tubal pregnancy after tubal ligation is not common either.

VAGINAL TUBAL LIGATION

Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1972
Postpartum abdominal sterilization by the Pomeroy method or tubal cauterization by laparoscopy are recommended over the procedure of vaginal tubal ligation described by McMaster and Ansari (Obstetrics and Gynecology 38: 44-50. 1971). The abdominal Pomeroy method is quick and laparoscopy requires a shorter hospital stay.

TUBAL-LIGATION FAILURES

The Lancet, 1971
It has been suggested by W.I.C. Morris (Lancet 1: 706 April 3 1971) that surgeons show failure risks on consent forms. However this would remove the patients peace of mind which is the reason for seeking sterilization. There is legal opinion that the patient need not be told of risk.

Hysterectomy and Tubal Ligation

2015
Because of the reproductive organs identification with sexuality and childbearing gynecologic surgery can be a stressful experience for women. This article reviews the research on the psychological sequelae of tubal ligation and hysterectomy. Overall the research suggests that factors such as age marital problems parity previous psychiatric history ...
