Artificial Intelligence Resources for the Screening of Titles and Abstracts in Systematic Reviews: A Scoping Review

open access: yesCochrane Evidence Synthesis and Methods, Volume 4, Issue 5, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of technology enabling machines to emulate complex human skills; it can also entail problem‐solving using bioinspired methods. It is used for automating systematic literature reviews (SLR), that is, defining a clinical question, locating relevant literature, preliminary screening, study ...

Stereodivergent Synthesis of C5‐α‐Substituted Linezolid Derivatives From D‐Mannitol and Structure–Antibacterial Activity Evaluation

open access: yesChirality, Volume 38, Issue 9, September 2026.
A stereodivergent route from D‐mannitol enables access to enantiopure C5‐α‐substituted linezolid analogues with full configurational control. Biological evaluation reveals that α‐substitution abolishes antibacterial activity irrespective of stereochemistry, establishing a strict steric limitation at C5 and highlighting the dominant role of substituent ...

Use of Artificial Intelligence‐Based Platforms to Support Searches in Evidence Synthesis Studies: A Study of the EAACI Methodology Committee

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To demonstrate an evaluation of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in supporting tasks in evidence synthesis (particularly search for primary studies) in the allergy or respirology fields. Methods We queried three AI‐based platforms specialised on identifying scientific publications using several strategies (i.e., prompting ...

Inhibition of METTL14 Alleviates OGD/R‐Induced Neuronal Differentiation Injury in Neural Stem Cells Through Suppressing the Tp53inp2/Ptgs2 Axis: Potential Benefits for the Mouse MCAO Model

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 9, September 2026.
The graphical abstract highlights that ischemic stroke leads to increased METTL14 expression, which enhances Tp53inp2 mRNA stability through m6A modification. Elevated Tp53inp2 then promotes damaging mitophagy and ROS production by upregulating Ptgs2, ultimately impairing the neuronal differentiation of neural stem cells.

Protocol for a Pilot Quasi‐Experimental Study on the Effect of Patient‐Centered Education on HIV Virological Outcomes Among Adult People Live With HIV‐HBV Co‐Infection in North‐West Ethiopia: Protocol for a Pilot Quasi‐Experimental Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) remains a major public health challenge in sub‐Saharan Africa, including Ethiopia. Adults living with HIV are at increased risk of liver‐related complications, poor treatment outcomes, and suboptimal virological control, particularly when adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) is inadequate ...

Combination Treatment of IL‐17 Inhibitor and JAK Inhibitor in Psoriatic Arthritis: A Case Report and Scoping Review

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory disease with complex pathophysiology. Despite advancements in biologic and targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs (b/tsDMARDs), treatment responses remain suboptimal for many patients.
