Multi‐Technique Study of the Thermospheric Wind Responses to the November 3–4, 2021 Storm

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2025.
Abstract The responses of thermospheric winds at mid and low latitudes to the intense geomagnetic storm of November 3–4, 2021, are examined using multi‐technique observations and simulations with the Thermosphere Ionosphere Electrodynamics General Circulation Model (TIEGCM).

Pseudo-Hermitian continuous-time quantum walks

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper we present a model exhibiting a new type of continuous-time quantum walk (as a quantum mechanical transport process) on networks, which is described by a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian possessing a real spectrum.

Histories of Untranslatability in South Asia: Historiography, Debates, and Problems, 1980–2010

open access: yesHistory Compass, Volume 23, Issue 7-9, July-September 2025.
ABSTRACT Untranslatability is not a separate field of study in history; rather, it is a conceptual lens that captures the concerns of certain strands of scholarship which have tended to somewhat problematize connections, translations, and mediation across imperial and colonial divides.

Efficacy of topical turmeric, calendula officinalis, and tulsi (ayurvedic gel) in the management of erosive lichen planus: A placebo-controlled study

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Background: Chronic mucocutaneous symptoms are a hallmark of lichen planus (LP), an inflammatory disease of the stratified squamous epithelium. The most severe type of mucosal lichen is oral erosive lichen planus (OELP).

Quantum search by partial adiabatic evolution

open access: yes, 2010
A quantum search algorithm based on the partial adiabatic evolution\cite{Tulsi2009} is provided. We calculate its time complexity by studying the Hamiltonian in a two-dimensional Hilbert space. It is found that the algorithm improves the time complexity,

Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum): A Potent Adaptogen

open access: yesClinical Research Notes, 2021
Tulsi or holy basil is a dedicated plant of India. It is a pungent plant in the family Lamiaceae which is mother to the Indian subcontinent and widespread as a cultivated plant throughout the Southeast Asian tropics. Tulsi is considered to be an adaptogen, balancing different processes in the body, and helpful for adapting to stress.

An Untapped and Undocumented Butterfly Diversity in a Rapidly Urbanizing and Fragmenting Forest Habitat in Pokhara, Nepal: First Checklist and Implications for Conservation and Ecotourism

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
Documenting indicator taxa such as butterflies is crucial in biodiversity hotspots such as the Himalayas, particularly in rapidly urbanizing areas such as Pokhara, Nepal. This study recorded 225 butterfly species in the Methlang Forest area of Lakeside, Pokhara, including new and long‐absent national records.

Search via Quantum Walk

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a new method for designing quantum search algorithms for finding a "marked" element in the state space of a classical Markov chain. The algorithm is based on a quantum walk \'a la Szegedy (2004) that is defined in terms of the Markov chain ...

Barrier, Mechanical and Antimicrobial Properties of Yam Starch Film With Cássia Cinnamon Essential Oil and Its Application in Strawberry Storage

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, Volume 38, Issue 8, Page 681-697, August 2025.
Chitosan and cinnamon oil reduced film thickness and improved water vapor barrier properties. Cinnamon oil in yam starch films showed strong antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus. Yam starch films with chitosan and cinnamon oil effectively inhibited fungal growth on strawberries.
