Multi‐omic characterization of consensus molecular subtype 1 (CMS1) colorectal cancer with dampened immune response improves precision medicine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.

Developing a prognosis and chemotherapy evaluating model for colon adenocarcinoma based on mitotic catastrophe-related genes

open access: yesScientific Reports
Mitotic catastrophe (MC) is a novel form of cell death that plays an important role in the treatment and drug resistance of colon adenocarcinoma (COAD). However, MC related genes in COAD treatment and prognosis evaluation are rarely studied.

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Increasing serum alkaline phosphatase is associated with bone deformity progression for patients with polyostotic fibrous dysplasia

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, 2020
Background Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a rare bone disorder in which normal intramedullary bone is replaced by fibro-osseous tissue, which is complicated by the progression of Shepherd’s crook deformity.

Tracheal tumors

open access: yesThe Journal of the Japanese Association for Chest Surgery, 1996
Tumors of the airway can be classified into malignant (squamous and adenoidcystic) and low-grade or benign neoplasms. The most common tumors are squamous cancer and adenoidcystic, occurring in about equal numbers. Pre- and intraoperative evaluations are mandatory, along with strict attention to technical details and postoperative care.

Tumor isoimmunity [PDF]

open access: yesExperientia, 1958

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Association between serum levels of 12 different cytokines and short-term efficacy of chemoradiotherapy in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
Background Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) has a poor prognosis, with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) being a key treatment method. This study focused on circulating cytokines as potential predictors of treatment response and prognosis in patients with
