Biomaterial design strategies for enhancing mitochondrial transplantation therapy
Biomaterials to facilitate mitochondrial transplantation therapy: biomaterials as barriers to protect mitochondria from pathophysiological microenvironments, like osmotic stress caused by the excessive concentration of calcium ion, reactive oxygen species, and advanced glycation end products; biomaterials integrating with biochemical cues to improve ...

The emerging roles of ribosome biogenesis in craniofacial development. [PDF]
Neural crest cells (NCCs) are a transient, migratory cell population, which originates during neurulation at the neural folds and contributes to the majority of tissues, including the mesenchymal structures of the craniofacial skeleton.

Tumor budding for predicting prognosis of resected rectum cancer after neoadjuvant treatment
Background Rectum cancer is a type of colorectal cancer. Its etiology and etiopathogenesis are similar to other colon diseases. We aimed to evaluate the tumor budding for predicting prognosis of resected rectum cancer patients. Methods We retrospectively

Advanced extracellular vesicle immunotherapy
A diagrammatic depiction of the therapeutic applicability of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in immunotherapy. This review explores the dual roles of tumor‐derived and immune cell‐derived EVs in cancer immunotherapy, discusses recent progress in EV engineering that improve their clinical utility, and evaluates their potential to augment existing ...

Effects of an Unusual Poison Identify a Lifespan Role for Topoisomerase 2 in Saccharomyces Cerevisiae [PDF]
A progressive loss of genome maintenance has been implicated as both a cause and consequence of aging. Here we present evidence supporting the hypothesis that an age-associated decay in genome maintenance promotes aging in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeast)

Clinicopathological Significance of Tumor Budding in Breast Carcinoma
Background: Tumour budding Tuberculosis is a new prognostic marker whose role in breast cancer is still under evaluation. Our aim was to study Tuberculosis in breast carcinoma and correlate it with other prognostic markers. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted over 2 years on 75 invasive breast carcinoma specimens and biopsies ...

Molecular crosstalk via exosomes in lung cancer progression
“Molecular and theranostics roles of exosomes in Lung Cancer.” Abstract Exosomes play a critical role in lung cancer metastasis, facilitating tumor progression through intercellular communication between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment. These nanosized extracellular vesicles carry bioactive molecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, and ...

Prognostic role of tumor budding in breast cancer
Tumor budding, defined as a small number of cancer cells observed in pathology sections detached from the main tumor mass, is a common phenomenon in cancer. It is suggested that cells in buds are in the process of actively moving away from the primary tumor in the first step of metastasis.

In this study, 3D‐TVS measurements of the uterine junction zone (JZ) in 120 patients showed that a JZmax threshold of ≥ 0.45 cm yielded 77% sensitivity and 89% specificity for adenomyosis diagnosis. Notably, JZ thickness varies minimally with age, demonstrating its stability and excellent diagnostic performance.
