Small extracellular vesicles and particles (sEVPs) derived from tumor-free pre-metastatic organs promote breast cancer metastasis and support organotropism

open access: yesMolecular Cancer
Metastatic breast cancer remains largely incurable, partly due to our incomplete understanding of its intricate underlying mechanisms. Notably, intercellular communication mediated by small extracellular vesicles and particles (sEVPs) has emerged as a ...

The anticancer effect of the HDAC inhibitor belinostat is enhanced by inhibitors of Bcl‐xL or Mcl‐1 in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The pan‐HDAC inhibitor belinostat increases the expression of the pro‐apoptotic proteins Bim, Puma, and Noxa and induces apoptosis in ovarian cancer cell lines and patient‐derived tumor organoids when used at high concentrations. Moreover, inhibiting the anti‐apoptotic proteins Bcl‐xL or Mcl‐1 sensitizes these preclinical models to the cytotoxic effect

Cytotoxic activity of anti-DNA slgA-antibodies from milk of healthy women

open access: yesБіологічні студії, 2011
Earlier we have shown that immunoglobulin preparations derived from milk of healthy women by precipitation with 50% ammonium sulfate, possess toxic activity toward several transformed and tumor cells in vitro (Kit Y., and others, Biotechnology 2008).

Comprehensive omics‐based classification system in adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The COMBAT classification system, developed through multi‐omics integration, stratifies adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B‐ALL) into three molecular subtypes with distinct surface antigen patterns, immune landscape, methylation patterns, biological pathways and prognosis.

Behavior of tumors under nonstationary theraphy

open access: yes, 2002
We present a model for the interaction dynamics of lymphocytes-tumor cells population. This model reproduces all known states for the tumor. Futherly,we develop it taking into account periodical immunotheraphy treatment with cytokines alone.

Circulating tumor DNA monitoring and blood tumor mutational burden in patients with metastatic solid tumors treated with atezolizumab

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

Dose‐dependent induction of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition in 3D melanoma models by non‐thermal plasma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Non‐thermal plasma treatment of melanoma cells induced epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in a dose‐dependent fashion. This report highlights the critical need to further investigate potential adverse effects of non‐thermal plasma for cancer therapy and to optimize treatment parameters for clinical translation. Despite the promising results of non‐

Molecular imaging predicts trastuzumab‐deruxtecan (T‐DXd) response in head and neck cancer xenograft models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Trastuzumab‐deruxtecan, a HER2‐targeting antibody‐drug conjugate, shows promising antitumor activity in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with low HER2 expression. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated dose‐dependent cell death and tumor growth reduction in low HER2‐expressing cell lines, which correlated with drug accumulation measured using a

Trombin és ischémia együttes hatása a vér-agy-gát sejtjeire = The effects of thrombin and ischemia on the cells of the blood-brain-barrier [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
