Genome sequencing identifies complex structural MLH1 variant in unsolved Lynch syndrome
A family with Lynch syndrome is presented by this article. Standard diagnostic tests, such as panel or exome sequencing, were unable to detect the underlying copy‐number neutral structural genetic variant in MLH1. This case aims to illustrate the advantages of clinical genome sequencing in routine diagnostics in detecting structural variants.

Pausing transplants in the face of a global pandemic: Patient survival implications
Abstract The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic has disrupted normal operating procedures at transplant centers. With the possibility that COVID‐19 infection carries an overall 4% mortality rate and potentially a 24% mortality rate among the immunocompromised transplant recipients, many transplant centers considered the possibility of slowing

Abstract Background Hepatitis B core antibody (HBcAb) positivity is considered a prior hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. However, little is known about the effect of HBcAb positivity on surgical safety for hilar cholangiocarcinoma (hCCA). The present study aims to investigate the role of HBcAb positivity on postoperative complications of hCCA ...

We present a detailed case of a bilio‐bronchial fistula that developed in a complex, multitreated HCC patient, illustrating a plausible causal chain from liver resection and ablation to fistula formation. This report underscores bilio‐bronchial fistula as a potential late complication of hepatic ablative therapy, highlights the critical importance of ...

ABSTRACT Umbilical cutaneous metastases of abdomino‐pelvic tumors are rare. They are known as Sister Mary Joseph nodules. The presence of this nodule indicates an advanced cancerous lesion and is associated with a poor prognosis. Because of its rarity, the Sister Mary Joseph nodule can go unnoticed.
