Mouse mammary tumor virus infections: viral expression and tumor risk.
Journal of the National Cancer Institute, 1979Concentrations of murine mammary tumor virus (MuMTV) antigen in the milk of individual naturally infected BALB/cfC3H and BALB/c mice given injections of MuMTV were related to their risk of developing a mammary tumor. Two distinct groups of MuMTV-infected mice were identified.

Effect of lactic dehydrogenase virus infection on tumor induction and tumor growth.
Cancer research, 1981The ubiquitous nononcogenic lactic dehydrogenase RNA virus (LDV) is one of the most common contaminants of transplantable tumors and oncogenic viral preparations. This association of LDV with a large variety of murine tumors and the known effect of LDV infection on immune competence may suggest the existence of a possible etiological relationship ...

[Papilloma virus infection in pretumor and tumor masses of the larynx].
Vestnik Rossiiskoi akademii meditsinskikh nauk, 2005There has been recent evidence suggesting that papilloma virus infection is of no small importance in the pathogenesis of tumors of the head and neck. This study has involved a screening of the mucosa having laryngeal pretumors and tumors for papilloma virus infection by polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry.

[Epstein-Barr virus infection in the development of human tumors].
Die Naturwissenschaften, 1981The Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is the only infectious agent for which a close association with human malignant tumors has been clearly demonstrated. These tumors are one type of nasopharyngeal carcinoma which is frequent in parts of East Asia and the Burkitt lymphoma which predominantly occurs in parts of Africa and New Guinea.
