A spurious-free tunable bandpass filter

2008 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2008
This paper presents a simple structure for suppressing the second-harmonic of tunable filters. The proposed resonator for the filter possesses the advantage that its resonant frequencies of odd-mode can be electrically tuned, whereas the even-mode harmonics can be suppressed. In addition, it is very simple and compact in structure.

Micromachined micropackaged filter banks and tunable bandpass filters

Proceedings of 1997 Wireless Communications Conference, 2002
Low cost alternatives to conventional switched filter banks and tunable bandpass filters are investigated. Both types of filters in conventional form suffer from high cost, intricate packaging, and large weight and size. Micromachining and micropackaging were used to allow for a high performance, monolithic design on a single low cost substrate with ...

Tunable Bandpass Filter Using a Switched Tunable Diplexer Technique

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017
In this paper, a new technique using two p-i-n diodes to switch between two channels of a tunable diplexer with constant return loss is proposed to design a tunable bandpass filter (BPF) with wide frequency tuning range (FTR). The used third-order tunable diplexer with two independently tuned channels consists of one common varactor-tuned lumped ...

Hairpin Tunable Bandpass Filter with Improved Selectivity and Tunability

2007 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2007
In this paper, a hairpin tunable bandpass filter which has enhanced selectivity and tunability is proposed. The varactors loaded open stubs between quarter-wavelength resonators are introduced to exhibit transmission zeros near the passband and thus better selectivity in the tuning range.

Tunable bandpass filters with constant absolute bandwidth

Proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory, 2010
This paper presents the design of novel tunable bandpass filters with constant absolute bandwidth. A novel mixed electric and magnetic coupling scheme is utilized. Theoretical analysis indicates that it is able to achieve desired coupling coefficients between the proposed resonators at various frequencies so as to obtain constant absolute bandwidth ...

Tunable bandpass passive digital filter design

The 2002 45th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002. MWSCAS-2002., 2003
Sharp-cutoff filtering characteristics require a high-order filter. For a not-too-high filter order, IIR digital filters are required. In this paper, we present two methods for designing high-order tunable bandpass passive digital filters that can provide sharp-cutoff capability for real-time filtering applications.

A New Miniaturized Electronically Tunable Bandpass Filter

2006 7th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation & EM Theory, 2006
In this paper a new electronically tunable band pass filter using coupled ring resonator is described. This filter can tune frequency ranges from 2 GHz to 4 GHz. In comparison with designed filter by Y.H.SHu the size of this filter reduced about 69% with the same frequency performance.

Progress of a tunable active bandpass filter

Annales Des Télécommunications, 1992
A review of a tunable active bandpass filter developed in our research group is given here. Presented first is the basic structure of an end-coupled microstrip-line bandpass filter. Next discussed is the concept of using coupled negative resistance to compensate the loss of tank circuit.

Mechanically tunable coupled resonator waveguide bandpass filter

2019 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques in Wireless Communications (MTTW), 2019
This paper proposes a novel mechanically tunable waveguide filter design, based on a coupled resonator topology. The resonator geometry consists of a rectangular waveguide cavity and a dielectric cylinder. Unlike conventional cylindrical resonators which are made out of a single part, here the cylinders are cut in half. By changing the distance between

FREQUENCY-TUNABLE MICROWAVE BANDPASS FILTER

2011
The invention relates to a frequency-tunable microwave bandpass filter that comprises, altogether, at least the following elements: a wave guide having a rectangular cross-section and including a stationary first conductive portion I and a movable second conductive portion II. Said first portion includes a plurality of first conductive partitions (1051,
