Robust Interlayer Exciton Interplay in a Twisted van der Waals Heterotrilayer on a Broadband Bragg Reflector up to Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we highlight a unique material platform capable of producing three distinct room temperature (RT) photoluminescence (PL) resonances from spatially separated regions composed of a heterobilayer (HBL), a homobilayer (HoBL), and an heterotrilayer (HTL) transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) heterostructures configuration on a highly ...

Generation and optimisation of picosecond optical pulses for use in broadband communication systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The continued growth of the internet driven by the demand for media rich content and escalating IP traffic has been fuelling the massive growth in demand for bandwidth to handle very high data rates.

Flexible Frequency Discrimination Subsystems for Reconfigurable Radio Front Ends

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2005
The required flexibility of the software-defined radio front end may currently be met with better overall performance by employing tunable narrowband circuits rather than pursuing a truly wideband approach.

Effect of Optical Illumination on Bubble Nanodomains

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Stable surface‐confined nanoscale bubble domains are created and manipulated in PMN‐PT single crystals. Under above‐bandgap illumination, these bubble nanodomains remain unchanged. However, upon illumination cessation, they rapidly expand to switch the entire crystal surface, due to the accumulation of a large reservoir of electrons at the crystal ...

A polarization independent tunable filter. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The invention discloses a polarization independent tunable filter based on Mach-Zehdner Interferometer (MZI). The polarization independent tunable filter includes hybrid 3 desibel primary coupler (20), a non 3 desibel secondary coupler (21), a ...

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.
