Magnetic-Field Dependence of Tunnel Couplings in Carbon Nanotube Quantum Dots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
By means of sequential and cotunneling spectroscopy, we study the tunnel couplings between metallic leads and individual levels in a carbon nanotube quantum dot.

Tunneling magnetothermopower in magnetic tunnel junctions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2014
Thermally induced spin-dependent transport across magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) is theoretically investigated. We analyze the thermal analog of Slonczewski's model (as well as its limiting case—Julliere's model) of tunneling magnetoresistance and obtain analytical expressions for the junction thermopower and the tunneling magnetothermopower (TMT ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Study on the Characteristics of Safety Distribution Changing with Buried Depth for Metro Station in Upper-Soft and Lower-Hard Stratum

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2018
The reasonable buried depth of metro station should be investigated for Qingdao with the upper-soft and lower-hard stratum. Strength reduction method has been utilized to study FOS of metro station under different buried depths.

Performance analysis of AlGaAs/GaAs tunnel junctions for ultra-high concentration photovoltaics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
An n(++)-GaAs/p(++)-AlGaAs tunnel junction with a peak current density of 10 100Acm(-2) is developed. This device is a tunnel junction for multijunction solar cells, grown lattice-matched on standard GaAs or Ge substrates, with the highest peak current ...

Shared Genetic Effects and Antagonistic Pleiotropy Between Multiple Sclerosis and Common Cancers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epidemiologic studies have reported inconsistent altered cancer risk in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Factors such as immune dysregulation, comorbidities, and disease‐modifying therapies may contribute to this variability.

Research on Loading Scheme for Large-Scale Model Tests of Super-Long-Span Arch Bridge

open access: yesBuildings, 2023
A reasonable and efficient loading scheme is needed to guarantee the success of large-scale bridge tests. In this study, an array-type, self-balancing pulley-group loading system was designed based on the world’s largest spanning arch bridge using a 1:10

Tunneling times with covariant measurements

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the time delay of massive, non-relativistic, one-dimensional particles due to a tunneling potential. In this setting the well-known Hartman effect asserts that often the sub-ensemble of particles going through the tunnel seems to cross the ...
