Turbo Equalization Scheme for Polar-AFDM System
2024 16th International Conference on Communication Software and Networks (ICCSN)In the next generation of mobile communication, robustness in high mobility scenarios is an important indicator. Affine Frequency Division Multiplexing (AFDM) is a potential powerful candidate waveform due to its high tolerance for DelayDoppler channels.

Two-Dimensional ICI-ISI Turbo Equalization for Doubly-Dispersive High-Spread Channels
ICC 2024 - IEEE International Conference on CommunicationsWe present an iterative equalization scheme that accounts for both inter-carrier interference (ICI) and inter-symbol interference (ISI) on multicarrier communication systems without a cyclic prefix (CP).

Global Oceans 2020: Singapore – U.S. Gulf Coast, 2020
This paper proposes a low-latency FPGA implementation for Turbo equalization to combat very long multipath fading channels where the Intersymbol-interference (ISI) channel length is on the order of 100 taps.

A Low-Complexity Scheduling for Turbo Equalization with Turbo Decoding
2007 IEEE 65th Vehicular Technology Conference - VTC2007-Spring, 2007A novel scheduling for turbo equalization with turbo decoding is proposed. The use of turbo codes associated to turbo equalizers has been frequently investigated in the literature. The conventional turbo equalizer with turbo decoding consists of a soft input soft output equalizer cooperating with a turbo decoder. In this way, the turbo decoder performs

A Low Complexity Turbo Equalizer
2005In this paper a new Soft Input – Soft Output (SISO) equalizer of linear complexity is developed. The algorithm can be used in the so-called Turbo Equalization scheme as a low cost solution in place of the Maximum A-Posteriori (MAP) equalization algorithm which has a prohibitive complexity for most real world applications.

Modification of turbo equalization with LMMSE equalizer
SPIE Proceedings, 2004This paper investigates turbo equalization (TE) with linear minimum mean squared error (LMMSE) equalizer, which has much lower complexity but much worse performance than TE with maximum a posteriori (MAP) equalizer because of inefficient information processing of LMMSE equalizer.

Sparse MAP equalizers for turbo equalizations
2005 IEEE 61st Vehicular Technology Conference, 2005The turbo equalization scheme provides nearly optimal performance, but when it is employed in sparse multipath channel environments, the equalizer complexity can prohibit its use. In this paper, we develop a parallel trellis n-tap soft-input soft-output maximum a posteriori (MAP) equalizer which can consider n dominant taps of sparse channels with ...

Turbo equalization with Jointly Gaussian equalizer
Journal of Electronics (China), 2005A Jointly Gaussian (JG) equalizer is derived for turbo equalization based on an augmented real matrix representation of channel model and a Gaussian approximation of the received symbol sequence. Using matrix inversion lemma and Cholesky decomposition, a low-complexity implementation of JG equalizer is also presented.

Enhanced MIMO LMMSE Turbo Equalization
2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010We propose an enhanced linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) turbo equalization scheme for multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems. The turbo equalizer employs soft interference cancellation (SIC), where tentative soft decisions of the interfering symbols are subtracted from the received samples before the LMMSE filtering.

A linear log-MAP algorithm for turbo decoding and turbo equalization
WiMob'2005), IEEE International Conference on Wireless And Mobile Computing, Networking And Communications, 2005., 2006A simplification of the log-MAP algorithm for use in turbo decoders and turbo equalizers is presented. The simplified algorithm is based on the MacLaurin series expansion of the logarithmic term in the Jacobian logarithmic function used in the log-MAP algorithm.
