Turbo Processing for Speech Recognition

IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, 2014
Speech recognition is a classic example of a human/machine interface, typifying many of the difficulties and opportunities of human/machine interaction. In this paper, speech recognition is used as an example of applying turbo processing principles to the general problem of human/machine interface.

Turbo Iterative Signal Processing

2009 IEEE 13th Digital Signal Processing Workshop and 5th IEEE Signal Processing Education Workshop, 2009
A Turbo iterative method for signal processing is proposed. This method is a kind of multi-systems collaborative signal processing through iteration: several independent systems work in rotation, and each system takes feedback information from the other systems as a priori condition.

Turbo processing in transmit antenna diversity systems

Annales Des Telecommunications/Annals of Telecommunications, 2001
We consider turbo-trellis-coded transmission over fading multiple-input-multiple-output (M1M0) channels with transmit diversity using space-time block codes. We give a new view on space-time block codes as a transformation of the fading MIMO channel towards a Gaussian single-input-single-output (siso) channel and provide analytical results on the BER ...

Turbo Processing

2006
Signal processing and neural computation have separately and significantly influenced many disciplines, but the cross-fertilization of the two fields has begun only recently. Research now shows that each has much to teach the other, as we see highly sophisticated kinds of signal processing and elaborate hierachical levels of neural computation ...

Turbo Decoder with Parallel Processing

2013
The operating frequency \(\mathcal{F}\) is the decisive factor in throughput calculation of conventional turbo decoders. Although the modification to circuits can improve this factor, there is a limit to the critical path delay, and it is difficult to supply a stable clock signal with high frequency.
