XOR‐FREE Implementation of Convolutional Encoder for Reconfigurable Hardware
This paper presents a novel XOR‐FREE algorithm to implement the convolutional encoder using reconfigurable hardware. The approach completely removes the XOR processing of a chosen nonsystematic, feedforward generator polynomial of larger constraint length.

Space-Time Turbo Coded Modulation: Design and Applications
A design method for recursive space-time trellis codes and parallel-concatenated space-time turbo coded modulation is proposed that can be applied to an arbitrary existing space-time trellis code.

Combination of turbo equalisation and Turbo Trellis-coded modulation with low complexity
A novel low-complexity scheme of Turbo Trellis-coded modulation (TCM) iterative equalisation and decoding is presented, which serially concatenates a soft-input-soft-output equaliser and symbol-by-symbol Turbo TCM (TTCM) decoder through an iterative process in order to realise iterative equalisation and decoding process.

Performance of Antenna Diversity with Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation Over Nakagami Channels
In this paper, we will use the Space Time Block codes for antenna diversity, and the performance of Space-Time – Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation (ST-TTCM) is investigated over Nakagami channels.

An Effective Error Correction Scheme for Arithmetic Coding
We propose an effective error correction technique for arithmetic coding with forbidden symbol. By predicting the occurrence of the subsequent forbidden symbols, the forbidden region is actually expanded and theoretically, a better error correction performance can be achieved. Moreover, a generalized stack algorithm is exploited to detect the forbidden

Near-capacity iterative decoding of binary self-concatenated codes using soft decision demapping and 3-D EXIT charts [PDF]
In this paper 3-D Extrinsic Information Transfer (EXIT) charts are used to design binary Self-Concatenated Convolutional Codes employing Iterative Decoding (SECCC-ID), exchanging extrinsic information with the soft-decision demapper to approach the ...

This study presents research that supplements and extends the previous works on design of space‐time fully systematic unpunctured (FSU) serial concatenation of quadratic interleaved codes (SCQICs). The requirements for efficient design of the forward error correction (FEC) codecs motivated potential information‐theoretic studies for enjoying the ...
