VLSI Architectures for Sliding‐Window‐Based Space‐Time Turbo Trellis Code Decoders
The VLSI implementation of SISO‐MAP decoders used for traditional iterative turbo coding has been investigated in the literature. In this paper, a complete architectural model of a space‐time turbo code receiver that includes elementary decoders is presented.

Serial turbo trellis coded modulation with rate-1 inner code [PDF]
We develop new, low-complexity turbo codes suitable for bandwidth and power limited systems. These codes are constructed as an extension of repeat-accumulate codes to high-level-modulations. Two design criteria are proposed, based on maximum-likelihood decoding and on Gaussian density evolution in iterative decoding.
