Im August 2010 wurde in Österreich das Auftreten der Tomatenminiermotte Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) in einer Pheromonfalle in einem Gartenbaubetrieb im Bundesland Burgenland nachgewiesen. Dies ist der erste Nachweis für Österreich.
