Lignin Mimicking Protein Methylation Augments the Efficacy of FOLFOX Chemotherapy by Anchoring Thymidylate Synthase

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lignin‐mimicking protein methylation can enhance the efficacy and mitigate the toxicity of the classic FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen. ABSTRACT FOLFOX has served as the standard chemotherapy regimen for advanced stages, specifically in the treatment of pancreatic, colorectal, and bladder cancers.

Influence of nonionic surfactant Tween 20 on the drop breakage and coalescence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Rozważono proces rozpadu i koalescencji kropel toluenu w układzie z rozpuszczonym surfaktantem niejonowym Tween 20. Obecność Tweenu 20 znacząco zmniejsza szybkość koalescencji kropel oraz zwiększa częstość ich rozpadu.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Aggregation control of phthalocyanines via Tween 20 micelles for improved photodynamic cytotoxicity

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising modality for selective cancer treatment; however, aggregation of hydrophobic photosensitizers in aqueous environments often leads to fluorescence quenching, reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, and ...

Electrically Readable Lateral Flow Assay Using Organic Transistors for Diagnostic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrolyte‐gated organic field‐effect transistors (EGOFETs) are integrated with lateral flow (LF) paper fluidics to create a reusable, portable, and low‐cost point‐of‐care (PoC) diagnostic test. The devices are validated for Human Immunoglobulin G detection, achieving high sensitivity (0.1 fm), selectivity, and reproducibility with rapid results in 20–

The effect of Tween-20 additive on the morphology and performance of PVDF hollow fiber membranes

open access: yes, 2016
The effects of additive, Tween-20, on the morphology and ultra-filtration performance of the PVDF membranes formed by isothermal immersion precipitation from the Tween-20/water/TEP/PVDF system were investigated.

Transient Cytoskeletal Anisotropy Encodes Short‐Term Mechanical Memory in Glioblastoma Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The same mechanical deformation can produce distinct cytoskeletal states depending on loading history. Experiments and constitutive modeling reveal that transient actin–vimentin anisotropy stores mechanical information and governs short‐term mechanical memory in glioblastoma cells.

Spatial Control of Light‐Responsive Proteins and Optogenetics Within Hydrogels via Volumetric Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Spatiotemporal control over cell behavior within bioprinted constructs remains a key challenge in biofabrication. Volumetric bioprinting using multi‐wavelength light sources permits to activate light‐sensitive intracellular proteins as well as optogenetic gene and protein expression circuits in bioprinted cells, in addition to enabling fast printing of
