B →P and B →V form factors from B-meson light-cone sum rules beyond leading twist

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We provide results for the full set of form factors describing semileptonic B-meson transitions to pseudoscalar mesons π, K, D ¯ $$ \overline{D} $$ and vector mesons ρ, K ∗, D ¯ ∗ $$ {\overline{D}}^{\ast } $$ .

Quality-adjusted Time Without Symptoms of disease or Toxicity (Q-TWiST) analysis of CPX-351 versus 7 + 3 in older adults with newly diagnosed high-risk/secondary AML

open access: yesJournal of Hematology & Oncology, 2021
Background CPX-351 (United States: Vyxeos®; Europe: Vyxeos® Liposomal), a dual-drug liposomal encapsulation of daunorubicin and cytarabine in a synergistic 1:5 molar ratio, is approved by the US FDA and the EMA for the treatment of adults with newly ...

Quality-adjusted Time Without Symptoms or Toxicity (Q-TWiST) for Lenvatinib plus Everolimus Versus Everolimus Monotherapy in Patients with Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesEuropean Urology Open Science, 2021
Background: The lenvatinib (LEN) plus everolimus (EVE) combination demonstrated improved progression-free survival over everolimus alone in a phase 2 trial (Study-205).

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Spin–orbit interactions of twisted random light

open access: yesAPL Photonics
The twist phase of random light represents a nontrivial two-point phase, endowing the field with orbital angular momentum. Although the mutual transition of the spin and orbit angular momenta of coherent light has been revealed, the relationship between ...

Are circadian amplitudes and periods correlated? A new twist in the story [version 2; peer review: 3 approved]

open access: yesF1000Research
Three parameters are important to characterize a circadian and in general any biological clock: period, phase and amplitude. While circadian periods have been shown to correlate with entrainment phases, and clock amplitude influences the phase response ...

Analysis of the Twist Structure in Self-twist Yarn

open access: yes, 2017
This paper mainly discussed the twist structure and property difference between in-phase self-twist yarn and phased self-twist yarn. There are three kinds of zones along the yarn: the twist-twist zone, twist-notwist zone and notwist-notwist zone in one ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Critical Percolation in the Ordering Kinetics of Twisted Nematic Phases

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2023
I report on the experimental confirmation that critical percolation statistics underlie the ordering kinetics of twisted nematic phases in the Allen-Cahn universality class. Soon after the ordering starts from a homogeneous disordered phase and proceeds towards a broken $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetry phase, the system seems to be attracted to the random ...
