Strong coupling Bose polarons in a two-dimensional gas
We study the properties of Bose polarons in two dimensions using quantum Monte Carlo techniques. Results for the binding energy, the effective mass, and the quasiparticle residue are reported for a typical strength of interactions in the gas and for a ...

Two-dimensional neutral Coulomb gas [PDF]
The problem of the two-dimensional neutral Coulomb gas is analysed in two separate approximations: the one-atom approximation at low temperatures and the Thomas-Fermi approximation at high temperatures. A possible connection between the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition and the thermal ionisation of a single atom is discussed.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Energy of N two-dimensional bosons with zero-range interactions
We derive an integral equation describing N two-dimensional bosons with zero-range interactions and solve it for the ground state energy B _N by applying a stochastic diffusion Monte Carlo scheme for up to 26 particles.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Energy in a finite two-dimensional spinless electron gas
We study the properties of a finite two-dimensional electron gas system in the Hartree-Fock approximation. We obtain exact analytical expressions for the energy in a finite two-dimensional fully spin-polarized (spinless) system of electrons interacting ...

Homologous expression and purification of human HAX‐1 for structural studies
This research protocol provides detailed instructions for cloning, expressing, and purifying large quantities of the intrinsically disordered human HAX‐1 protein, N‐terminally fused to a cleavable superfolder GFP, from mammalian cells. HAX‐1 is predicted to undergo posttranslational modifications and to interact with membranes, various cellular ...
