AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Subradiance Generation in a Chain of Two-Level Atoms with a Single Excitation
Studies of subradiance in a chain N two-level atoms in the single excitation regime focused mainly on the complex spectrum of the effective Hamiltonian, identifying subradiant eigenvalues.

The interaction of a quantized field with three-level atoms in $\Lambda$ configuration inside a two-mode cavity is analyzed in the small noise approximation. The atoms are in a two-photon detuning with respect to the carriers of the field.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Steady-State Two Atom Entanglement in a Pumped Cavity
In this paper we explore the possibility of a steady-state entanglement of two two-level atoms inside a pumped cavity by taking into account cavity leakage and the spontaneous emission of photons by the atoms.

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

A Mode-Selective Control in Two-Mode Superradiance from Lambda Three-Level Atoms
Dicke superradiance, a single-mode burst of radiation emitted by an ensemble of two-level atoms, has garnered tremendous attention within the physics community.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Analytic treatment of CRIB Quantum Memories for Light using Two-level Atoms
It has recently been discovered that the optical analogue of a gradient echo in an optically thick material could form the basis of a optical memory that is both completely efficient and noise free.
