Intube two-phase flow probabilities based on capacitance signal clustering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
To study the objectivity in flow pattern mapping of horizontal two-phase flow in macroscale tubes, a capacitance sensor is developed for use with refrigerants. Sensor signals are gathered with R410A in an 8mm I.D.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Simulation of Drag Reducer Polymer (DRP) for Single and Annular Two Phase Flow in Horizontal Pipe

open access: yesJurnal Rekayasa Kimia & Lingkungan, 2018
Drag reducing polymers (DRP) is one of drag reducer types that is widely used in industry as an additive to improve fluid flow efficiency in pipes. This study is conducted to analyze the parameters that influence the efficiency of DRP through developing ...

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Fluctuating Characteristics of Two-Phase Air-Water Slug Flow in Pressurized Pipelines [PDF]

open access: yesآب و فاضلاب, 2009
Two-phase gas-liquid flows occur in a wide variety of situations, e.g., in chemical processing, power generation, water supply systems, and petroleum industry. The study of two-phase fluid flows is of great importance in hydraulic engineering.

Two phase potential flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Some features of two recent approaches of two-phase potential flow are presented. The first approach is based on a set of progressive examples that can be analyzed using common techniques, such as conservation laws, and taken together appear to lead in the direction of a general theory.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

The Two-Phase Hell-Shaw Flow: Construction of an Exact Solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2013
We consider a two-phase Hele-Shaw cell whether or not the gap thickness is time-dependent. We construct an exact solution in terms of the Schwarz function of the interface for the two-phase Hele-Shaw flow.

Method for driving two-phase turbines with enhanced efficiency [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A method for driving a two phase turbine characterized by an output shaft having at least one stage including a bladed rotor connected in driving relation with the shaft is described.
