Effect of Low-Temperature Plasma Jet on Thermal Stability and Physical Structure of Type I Collagen [PDF]
This work is devoted to the characterization of type I collagen treated by a low-temperature plasma jet generated in ambient air to determine whether the resulting fibrous material is structurally preserved or reinforced.

ER stress-mediated apoptosis in a new mouse model of osteogenesis imperfecta [PDF]
Osteogenesis imperfecta is an inherited disorder characterized by increased bone fragility, fractures, and osteoporosis, and most cases are caused by mutations affecting the type I collagen genes.

A biomimetic model for mineralization of type-I collagen fibrils [PDF]
The bone and dentin mainly consist of type-I collagen fibrils mineralized by hydroxyapatite (HAP) nanocrystals. In vitro biomimetic models based on self-assembled collagen fibrils have been widely used in studying the mineralization mechanism of type-I ...

Inhibition of Type I Collagen Expression in Fibrosis Prevention after Trabeculectomy: Oryctolagus cuniculus [PDF]
Nurwasis The administration of postoperative bevacizumab injection in subconjunctival trabeculectomy will reduce bleb fibrosis. This study aimed to investigate the effect of bevacizumab as an antifibrotic agent on collagen density, collagen thickness ...

Clinical significance and biological role of cancer‐derived Type I collagen in lung and esophageal cancers [PDF]
Background Extracellular matrix (ECM) is remodeled during carcinogenesis. An abundant constituent of ECM is collagen. Type I collagen is secreted by fibroblasts, is important for tumor growth and epithelial‐mesenchymal transition, and may also be ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
