Optical observations of the fast declining Type Ib supernova iPTF13bvn [PDF]
We present optical UBVRI photometry and medium resolution spectroscopy of the type Ib supernova iPTF13bvn, spanning a phase of $\sim$ $-13\,$d to $+71\,$d with respect to $B$-band maximum. The post maximum decline rates indicate a fast decline with $ m_{15}(B) = 1.82$.

Dramatic Rebrightening of the Type-changing Stripped-envelope Supernova SN 2023aew
Multipeaked supernovae with precursors, dramatic light-curve rebrightenings, and spectral transformation are rare, but are being discovered in increasing numbers by modern night-sky transient surveys like the Zwicky Transient Facility.

Type Ib and IIb Supernova Progenitors in Interacting Binary Systems [PDF]
Abstract We explore properties of Type Ib and IIb SN progenitors that are produced by stable mass transfer in binary systems using a new grid of stellar evolution models from an initial primary mass in the range of at solar and Large Magellanic Cloud metallicities. We find

Resurrection of Nonthermal Emissions from Type Ib/c Supernova Remnants
Abstract Supernova remnants (SNRs) are important objects in investigating the links among supernova (SN) explosion mechanism(s), progenitor stars, and cosmic-ray acceleration. Nonthermal emission from SNRs is an effective and promising tool for probing their surrounding circumstellar media (CSM) and, in turn, the stellar evolution and ...

Phosphazene Base Mediated (sp3)CH Functionalization with CO2 and CS2
Selective deprotonation of HCF3, HC2F5, and CH3CN by the phosphazene base EtP4 in the presence of CO2 or CS2 affords the phosphazenium carboxylates [EtP4H]+[F3CCO2]− and [EtP4H]+[F5C2CO2]−, as well as the corresponding dithiocarboxylates [EtP4H]+[F3CCS2]− and [EtP4H]+[F5C2CS2]−.

We present optical and near-infrared (NIR) observations of SN 2022crv, a stripped-envelope supernova in NGC 3054, discovered within 12 hr of explosion by the Distance Less Than 40 Mpc Survey.

Magnetorotational Explosions of Core-Collapse Supernovae
Core-collapse supernovae are accompanied by formation of neutron stars. The gravitation energy is transformed into the energy of the explosion, observed as SN II, SN Ib,c type supernovae.

Type Ib/c Supernovae and their Relation to Binary Stars [PDF]
The present understanding of type Ib/c supernovae and their connection to interacting binaries is reviewed. The problems of the classification and the lack of well-observed events exclude direct inference of progenitor characteristics. The absence of hydrogen lines in the observed spectrum, nevertheless, requires restricted evolutionary schemes to ...

Organocatalytic C─O Bond Cleavage and Asymmetric Transformations via [1,3]‐Sigmatropic Rearrangement
A direct asymmetric strategy for fulfilling the functional group transfer by aryl ether cleavage and migration is developed, representing the first Brønsted base‐catalyzed asymmetric [1,3]‐sigmatropic rearrangement reaction. The resulting chiral benzofuran products generated through this strategy exhibit significant 3D‐dimensionality and demonstrate ...

We present a search for extragalactic fast blue optical transients (FBOTs) during Phase I of the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF). We identify 38 candidates with durations above half-maximum light 1 day < t _1/2 < 12 days, of which 28 have blue ( g − r ≲ −
