Best Prediction Method for Progressive Type-II Censored Samples under New Pareto Model with Applications

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
This paper describes two prediction methods for predicting the non-observed (censored) units under progressive Type-II censored samples. The lifetimes under consideration are following a new two-parameter Pareto distribution.

Entropy Estimation of Generalized Half-Logistic Distribution (GHLD) Based on Type-II Censored Samples

open access: yesEntropy, 2014
This paper derives the entropy of a generalized half-logistic distribution based on Type-II censored samples, obtains some entropy estimators by using Bayes estimators of an unknown parameter in the generalized half-logistic distribution based on Type-II

The Entropy of Progressively Censored Samples

open access: yesEntropy, 2011
In many life-testing and reliability studies, the experimenter might not always obtain complete information on failure times for all experimental units.

Classical and Bayesian Inference of the Inverse Nakagami Distribution Based on Progressive Type-II Censored Samples

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
This paper explores statistical inferences when the lifetime of product follows the inverse Nakagami distribution using progressive Type-II censored data.

Testing hypotheses in the Birnbaum–Saunders distribution under type-II censored samples [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Statistics & Data Analysis, 2011
The two-parameter Birnbaum-Saunders distribution has been used succesfully to model fatigue failure times. Although censoring is typical in reliability and survival studies, little work has been published on the analysis of censored data for this distribution.

A New Modified Kies Family: Properties, Estimation Under Complete and Type-II Censored Samples, and Engineering Applications

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, we introduce a new family of continuous distributions that is called the modified Kies family of distributions. The main mathematical properties of the new family are derived.

Data transformations and goodness-of-fit tests for type-II right censored samples [PDF]

open access: yesMetrika, 2014
We suggest several goodness-of-fit methods which are appropriate with Type-II right censored data. Our strategy is to transform the original observations from a censored sample into an approximately i.i.d. sample of normal variates and then perform a standard goodness-of-fit test for normality on the transformed observations.

Reliability Inference for the Multicomponent System Based on Progressively Type II Censored Samples from Generalized Pareto Distributions

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, the reliability of a k-component system, in which all components are subject to common stress, is considered. The multicomponent system will continue to survive if at least s out of k components’ strength exceed the common stress.

Statistical inference of comparative generalized inverted exponential populations under joint adaptive progressive type-II censored samples

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
Design of efficient test plans to assessing product reliability rapidly, is a critical step to obtain product reliability accurately. In this paper, we are adopted the problem of statistical inference of two generalized inverted exponential populations ...
