This paper describes two prediction methods for predicting the non-observed (censored) units under progressive Type-II censored samples. The lifetimes under consideration are following a new two-parameter Pareto distribution.

The Entropy of Progressively Censored Samples
In many life-testing and reliability studies, the experimenter might not always obtain complete information on failure times for all experimental units.

Testing hypotheses in the Birnbaum–Saunders distribution under type-II censored samples [PDF]
The two-parameter Birnbaum-Saunders distribution has been used succesfully to model fatigue failure times. Although censoring is typical in reliability and survival studies, little work has been published on the analysis of censored data for this distribution.

In this paper, we introduce a new family of continuous distributions that is called the modified Kies family of distributions. The main mathematical properties of the new family are derived.

Data transformations and goodness-of-fit tests for type-II right censored samples [PDF]
We suggest several goodness-of-fit methods which are appropriate with Type-II right censored data. Our strategy is to transform the original observations from a censored sample into an approximately i.i.d. sample of normal variates and then perform a standard goodness-of-fit test for normality on the transformed observations.

In this paper, the reliability of a k-component system, in which all components are subject to common stress, is considered. The multicomponent system will continue to survive if at least s out of k components’ strength exceed the common stress.
