In this paper we study the existence of minimizers for $$ F(u) = \1/2\int_{\R^3} |\nabla u|^2 dx + 1/4\int_{\R^3}\int_{\R^3}\frac{| u(x) |^2| u(y) |^2}{| x-y |}dxdy-\frac{1}{p}\int_{\R^3}| u |^p dx$$ on the constraint $$S(c) = \{u \in H^1(\R^3) : \int_ ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

This article deals with integral boundary value problems of the second-order differential equations { u ″ ( t ) + a ( t ) u ′ ( t ) + b ( t ) u ( t ) + f ( t , u ( t ) ) = 0 , t ∈ J + , u ( 0 ) = ∫ 0 1 g ( s ) u ( s ) d s , u ( 1 ) = ∫ 0 1 h ( s ) u ( s )

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

We describe a class of three Higgs doublet models (3HDMs) with a softly broken U(1) × U(1) family symmetry that enforces a Cabibbo-like quark mixing while forbidding tree-level flavour changing neutral currents. The hierarchy in the observed quark masses

Peller's problem concerning Koplienko-Neidhardt trace formulae: the unitary case
We prove the existence of a complex valued $C^2$-function on the unit circle, a unitary operator U and a self-adjoint operator Z in the Hilbert-Schmidt class $S^2$, such that the perturbated operator $$ f(e^{iZ}U)-f(U) -\frac{d}{dt}\bigl(f(e^{itZ}U)\bigr)

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Boundedness of the extremal solutions in dimension 4 [PDF]
In this paper we establish the boundedness of the extremal solution u^* in dimension N=4 of the semilinear elliptic equation $-\Delta u=\lambda f(u)$, in a general smooth bounded domain Omega of R^N, with Dirichlet data $u|_{\partial \Omega}=0$, where f ...
