Psychiatric Genetics In UK Biobank
European Neuropsychopharmacology, 2019Abstract The UK Biobank (UKB) is a unique resource for psychiatric genetics. This is a unique resource with very broad phenotyping across physical traits that is being expanded to include psychiatry (on >250K) with CIDI based mental health questionnaire and neuroimaging (on 100K). These are further complemented by ongoing medical record linkage.

Rare variant analysis on UK Biobank
2022Genome-wide Association Studies (GWAS) is the study used to associate common variants and phenotypes and has uncovered thousands of disease-associated variants. However, there is limited research on the contribution of a rare variant. The UK Biobank (UKB) contains detailed medical records and genetic information for nearly 500,000 individuals and ...

Identity informative SNP associations in the UK Biobank
Forensic Science International: Genetics, 2019Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are amenable to genotyping DNA from degraded, inhibited, and/or ancient substrates due to their relatively small amplicon size. Though they have clear advantages over traditional short tandem repeat (STR) typing for specific casework scenarios, the advances in massively parallel sequencing (MPS) have drastically ...
