The effect of repeated torque on the ultimate tensile strength of slotted gold prosthetic screws

Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2002
Repeated torque may alter the mechanical properties and fracture resistance of certain prosthetic retaining screws. This study evaluated the effect of repeated torque and salivary contamination on the ultimate tensile strength of one type of slotted gold prosthetic retaining screw.Forty-five slotted gold prosthetic screws from the same manufacturer ...

Estimation of ultimate torque capacity of the SFRC beams using ANN

Structural Engineering and Mechanics, 2015
In this study, in order to propose an efficient model to predict the torque capacity of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams, the existing experimental data related to torsional response of beams is reviewed. It is observed that existing data neglects the effects of some parameters on the variation of torque capacity.

Ultimate Torque of Reinforced Concrete Beams

Journal of the Structural Division, 1976
An analysis for predicting the torsional capacity of reinforced concrete beams has been developed based on consideration of deformations and equilibrium at failure. Three main factors are identified as contributing to the torque capacity of a section, the total capacity being the sum of the contributions due to stirrups, dowel forces, and shear ...
