Velocity profiles in strongly turbulent Taylor-Couette flow [PDF]
We derive the velocity profiles in strongly turbulent Taylor-Couette flow for the general case of independently rotating cylinders. The theory is based on the Navier-Stokes equations in the appropriate (cylinder) geometry.

Bio‐Friendly Artificial Muscles Based on Carbon Nanotube Yarns and Eutectogel Derivatives
Solid‐state artificial muscles based on coiled commercial carbon nanotube yarns coated with eutectogel derivatives exhibit unipolar actuation through selective ion intercalation. Combining polyanionic and polycationic gels enables enhanced contractile stroke and high energy density.

EFFECT OF PRELOAD TORQUE ON THE ULTIMATE TENSILE STRENGTH OF IMPLANT PROSTHETIC RETAINING SCREWS
The preload concept proposes that an optimal torque exists to which implant prosthetic retaining screws should be tightened. According to this theory, the preload prevents separation of implant components, thus protecting the screw from fracture. Recent research suggests that most implant-retained prostheses in function today were placed using improper

Turbulence decay towards the linearly-stable regime of Taylor-Couette flow [PDF]
Taylor-Couette (TC) flow is used to probe the hydrodynamical stability of astrophysical accretion disks. Experimental data on the subcritical stability of TC are in conflict about the existence of turbulence (cf. Ji et al. Nature, 444, 343-346 (2006) and

Interconnected Porous Hydrogels with Tunable Anisotropy Through Aqueous Emulsion Bioprinting
A 3D bioprintable microporous bioink is developed using an aqueous two‐phase system (ATPS) composed of extracellular matrix (ECM) mimetic biopolymers. The ATPS bioink enables the fabrication of interconnected porous architectures with up to 70% porosity, supporting long‐term cell viability and 3D cell alignment, enabling a simultaneous generation of ...
