Photoionization-Induced Broadband Dispersive Wave Generated in an Ar-Filled Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
The resonance band in hollow-core photonic crystal fiber (HC-PCF), while leading to high-loss region in the fiber transmission spectrum, has been successfully used for generating phase-matched dispersive wave (DW). Here, we report that the spectral width

Ultra-high field 7 T imaging in multiple sclerosis [PDF]

open access: yesCurrent Opinion in Neurology, 2020
Purpose of reviewUltra-high field 7 T MRI has multiple applications for thein vivocharacterization of the heterogeneous aspects underlying multiple sclerosis including the identification of cortical lesions, characterization of the different types of white matter plaques, evaluation of structures difficult to assess with conventional MRI (thalamus ...

High Harmonic Generation Driven by Counter-Rotating Bicircular Laser Fields from Polar Chemical Bonds in h-BN

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
High harmonic generation (HHG) driven by counter-rotating bicircular (CRB) pulses excitation has been observed from several solid targets, where circularly polarized harmonics are emitted.

Multi-GeV cascaded laser wakefield acceleration in a hybrid capillary discharge waveguide

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Based on a 6 cm-long two-segment hybrid capillary discharge waveguide, a multi-GeV electron beam with energy up to 3.2 GeV and 9.7% rms energy spread was achieved in a cascaded laser wakefield acceleration scheme, powered by an on-target 210 TW laser ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

An Antenna Based on Three Coupled Dipoles with Minimized E-field for Ultra-high-field MRI

open access: yes, 2022
| openaire: EC/H2020/736937/EU//M-CUBEIn this work, we demonstrate an approach for local reduction of the electric field amplitude of the transmitted radio-frequency signal in ultrahigh-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Spatiotemporal aberrations due to the groove density mismatching of compression gratings in ultra-intense femtosecond lasers

open access: yesScientific Reports
The groove density mismatching of compression gratings, an often-neglected key issue, can induce significant spatiotemporal aberrations especially for super-intense femtosecond lasers.
