Enhanced discovery of bacterial laccase‐like multicopper oxidase through computer simulation and metagenomic analysis of industrial wastewater

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We obtained potential bacterial laccase‐like multicopper oxidase (LMCO) sequences through metagenomic sequencing. All sequences exhibited significant differences from known LMCOs in databases. To select the most promising candidates, we performed structure prediction and molecular docking using alphafold2, metal3d and rosetta.

Ovarian Cancer Prediction from Ovarian Cysts Based on TVUS Using Machine Learning Algorithms [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Ovarian Cancer (OC) is type of female reproductive malignancy which can be found among young girls and mostly the women in their fertile or reproductive. There are few number of cysts are dangerous and may it cause cancer. So, it is very important to predict and it can be from different types of screening are used for this detection using Transvaginal ...

On the Feasibility of Deep Learning Classification from Raw Signal Data in Radiology, Ultrasonography and Electrophysiology [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 2024 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR), May 2024, pp. 1-6
Medical imaging is a very useful tool in healthcare, various technologies being employed to non-invasively peek inside the human body. Deep learning with neural networks in radiology was welcome - albeit cautiously - by the radiologist community. Most of the currently deployed or researched deep learning solutions are applied on already generated ...

Improving the Otsu Thresholding Method of Global Binarization Using Ring Theory for Ultrasonographies of Congestive Heart Failure [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Ring Theory states that a ring is an algebraic structure where two binary operations can be performed among the elements addition and multiplication. Binarization is a method of image processing where values within pixels are reduced to a scale from zero to one, with zero representing the most absence of light and one representing the most presence of ...

Automatic Feature Detection in Lung Ultrasound Images using Wavelet and Radon Transforms [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Objective: Lung ultrasonography is a significant advance toward a harmless lung imagery system. This work has investigated the automatic localization of diagnostically significant features in lung ultrasound pictures which are Pleural line, A-lines, and B-lines.

Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in hepatosplenic sarcoidosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We report a case of a 38-year-old woman with atypical pain in the left lower hemi-abdomen. On abdominal B-mode ultrasonography the liver was normal; the spleen showed multiple subcentimetric hypoechoic nodules.

Influence of lesion size on shear wave elastography in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
In shear wave elastography (SWE) studies, the optimal cutoff value of Young’s modulus for the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules varies greatly, which affects the clinical application of the method.
