The formation of nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) was investigated in this study, carrying out immersion tests for 30 min at a temperature of 1600°C with liquid high‐silicon electrical steel (Si ≈ 3 mass‐%) and different MgO–C refractories. Conventional MgO–C refractories were considered, as well as MgO–C refractories containing MgO–C recyclate and ...

Interacting Stochastic Process and Renormalization Theory
A stochastic process with self-interaction as a model of quantum field theory is studied. We consider an Ornstein-Uhlenbeck stochastic process x(t) with interaction of the form x^{(\alpha)}(t)^4, where $\alpha$ indicates the fractional derivative.

This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

Flame detector operable in presence of proton radiation [PDF]
A detector of ultraviolet radiation for operation in a space vehicle which orbits through high intensity radiation areas is described. Two identical ultraviolet sensor tubes are mounted within a shield which limits to acceptable levels the amount of ...

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Habitable Zones and UV Habitable Zones around Host Stars
Ultraviolet radiation is a double-edged sword to life. If it is too strong, the terrestrial biological systems will be damaged. And if it is too weak, the synthesis of many biochemical compounds can not go along.

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.
