Influence of rotational darkening on ultraviolet interstellar extinction

Astronomische Nachrichten, 1989
AbstractThe influence of rotational darkening on ultraviolet stellar fluxes of fast rotating stars has been rediscussed. For this aim ANS filter‐photometric magnitudes of weakly reddened B stars (E(B ‐ V) 0.1 mag) were corrected for interstellar extinction.

Interstellar Extinction in the Ultraviolet from Celescope Observations

1974
Celescope observations of 550 stars made in four broad ultraviolet passbands (1500 to 2600A) were used to derive intrinsic ultraviolet colors for main sequence stars (Haramundanis and Payne-Gaposchkin, 1973). Color excesses, E(Ui-V) = (Ui-V) — (Ui-V)O are qualitatively in agreement with those obtained by the Wisconsin Experiment (Bless and Savage, 1972)
