Glycoproteins from ulva lactuca
Phytochemistry, 1987Abstract Ulva lactuca yielded glycoprotein materials which differed significantly in their carbohydrate and protein moieties. The electrophoretic patterns of the isolated materials showed the presence in each of glycoprotein and polysaccharide components. All the glycoprotein components moved towards the cathode. The glycoprotein material isolated

Norisoprenoids fromUlvalactuca
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2007Five norisoprenoids were isolated from the green marine alga Ulva lactuca. Two new compounds were assigned to (3R,5R,6R,7E)3,5,6-trihydroxy-7-megastigmen-9-one (1) and (3S,5R,6S,7E)3,5,6-trihydroxy-7-megastigmen-9-one (2). The structures and absolute configurations of the five compounds were determined by analyses of NMR, MS and circular dichroism (CD).

Photosynthetic studies on Ulva lactuca
Phytochemistry, 1972Abstract The photosynthetic fixation of 14CO2 was studied in Ulva lactuca. Sucrose was the most highly labelled sugar, although glucose, fructose, xylose and myo-inositol also incorporated radioactivity. Starch and the sulphated polysaccharide were extracted and the radioactivity of each was measured, as was that of the constituent sugars of the ...

The effects of chloramphenicol on Ulva lactuca
Chemosphere, 2013The administration of pharmacological substances in the food producing industry is a crucial and long established practice in ensuring animal welfare. However, a very high percentage of the drugs used will directly or indirectly be present in the various compartments of natural ecosystems therefore constituting a source of pollution. The reactions that
