An isolated umbilical point of a Willmore surface
Osaka Journal of Mathematics, 2004 This paper proves that the index of an isolated umbilic point on a Willmore surface does not exceed 1/2. The author first gives a simple explanation of why we know that there do indeed exist umbilic points on Willmore surfaces with index equal to 1/2 and hence the estimate is sharp.

Characterizations of Umbilic Points of Isometric Immersions in Riemannian and Lorentzian Manifolds
Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics, 2016 Several characterizations of umbilic points of submanifolds in arbitrary Riemannian and Lorentzian manifolds are given. As a consequence, we obtain new characterizations of spheres in the Euclidean space and of hyperbolic spaces in the Lorentz-Minkowski space. We also prove the Lorentzian version of a classical result by Cartan.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.This work positions the versatile performance of the peptide‐based bioPhosTAC platform for dissecting phosphorylation‐dependent biology and expanding the scope of induced‐proximity technologies. We demonstrated that selective manipulation of a tyrosine phosphorylation site is sufficient to propagate coordinated cellular consequences.
