Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

A UML PROFILES FOR VIEWPOINT-ORIENTED MODELING

open access: yesJournal of Information and Organizational Sciences, 2012
The viewpoint-oriented modeling consists in providing an unique modelaccessible by users with various access rights according to their needs. The system isrepresented as sub-systems (called sub-models). This cutting makes the design of systemeasier by an

Reliable UML Models and Profiles

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2008
AbstractFormerly, models have been used mostly in design and documentation. MDA and its surrounding techniques put them into the center of the software development process as the platform-independent model serves as foundation for tasks such as platform-dependent code generation or testing.

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Towards a UML profile for modeling WAP applications

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2005
UML (Unified Modeling Language) is one of the most used languages to specify and document informatics applications. However, UML is a generalpurpose language, so it often lacks of elements to model and represent concrete concepts of specifics domains. As

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Evaluation of software architecture using fuzzy colored Petri nets [PDF]

open access: yesManagement Science Letters, 2013
Software Architecture (SA) is one of the most important artifacts for life cycle of a software system because it incorporates some important decisions and principles for the system development. On the other hand, developing the systems based on uncertain
