On the grounding of spin effects in theory of synchrotron radiation
The problem of the uniqueness in the introduction of spin operators in the synchrotron radiation theory is discussed. For this purpose we give the invariant spin projections on the basis of the spin projections in the rest frame.

Unsupervised Dependency Parsing: Let's Use Supervised Parsers
We present a self-training approach to unsupervised dependency parsing that reuses existing supervised and unsupervised parsing algorithms. Our approach, called `iterated reranking' (IR), starts with dependency trees generated by an unsupervised parser ...

An unambiguous prognosis [PDF]
I met Mary shortly after she was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme at age 54. It was easy to like her; she was stylish, well-spoken, and athletic. Her effortless manner and engaging smile charmed me into nearly mistaking her for an old friend instead of a patient just getting to know her oncologist.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
