Characteristics of lift and resistance of spherical wall in semi-unbounded flow field

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2022
The dynamic characteristics of the wall lift and drag of the rigid sphere moving parallel to the single wall surface in the static viscosity laminar flow field are numerically studied, on the basis of the three-dimensional numerical simulation method of ...

$L^p$-regularity for elliptic operators with unbounded coefficients

open access: yesAdvances in Differential Equations, 2005
In this paper we prove the generation of positive and analytic semigroups in $L^p(\R^N ...

Unbounded B-Fredholm operators on Hilbert spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper is concerned with the study of a class of closed linear operators densely defined on a Hilbert space H and called B-Fredholm operators.

Delocalization of light in photonic lattices with unbounded potentials

open access: yes, 2023
In classical mechanics, a particle cannot escape from an unbounded potential well. Naively, one would expect a similar result to hold in wave mechanics, since high barriers make tunneling difficult.

Functional Differentiation of Type II and Type I Collagen Articular Models in Synovial Fluid Film Formation and Recombinant Equine Lubricin Retention

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Collagen II coatings support the formation of synovial fluid nanofilms, while collagen I coatings do not. Both bind recombinant equine lubricin similarly. These findings may help explain articular cartilage surface joint dysfunction, inform biomaterial design for synovial joint repair, and expand on lubricin‐based osteoarthritis therapies.

Improved Regularization Method for Backward Cauchy Problems Associated with Continuous Spectrum Operator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2011
We consider in this paper an abstract parabolic backward Cauchy problem associated with an unbounded linear operator in a Hilbert space 𝐻, where the coefficient operator in the equation is an unbounded self-adjoint positive operator which has a ...

A new graph construction of unbounded clique-width.

open access: yes, 2016
We define permutation-partition graphs by replacing one part of a 2K2-free bipartite graph (a bipartite chain graph) by an induced linear forest. We show that this hereditary graph class is of of unbounded clique-width (with a new graph construction of ...

Modal Analysis of Light Propagation, Polarization and Diffraction by Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The analysis of optical eigenmodes in chiral liquid crystal with perpendicular or tilted helical axis, and their correspondence with the external medium, leads to an intuitive understanding of the angle and wavelength dependency of transmissive and reflective diffraction.

Clustering/Distribution Analysis and Preconditioned Krylov Solvers for the Approximated Helmholtz Equation and Fractional Laplacian in the Case of Complex-Valued, Unbounded Variable Coefficient Wave Number μ

open access: yesAlgorithms
We consider the Helmholtz equation and the fractional Laplacian in the case of the complex-valued unbounded variable coefficient wave number μ, approximated by finite differences.

Nano Borophene as a Programmable 2D Scaffold for Organized DNA Assembly and Long‐Range Energy Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Borophene is introduced as a programmable 2D bio‐interface that organizes DNA through dual boron–sulfur and nucleobase interactions. This molecular architecture enables efficient long‐range nanosurface energy transfer, establishing new design principles for functional nano–bio interfaces and amplification‐free optical biosensing.
